President’s Message & Editor’s Words:
Well, it hardly seems that the 2010 Rusty Gaits Saddle Club show and event year has come to a close once more. Our AGM (Annual General Meeting) is scheduled for Sunday, January 16 at the Springfield Village Café at the corner of Ron McNeil Line and Lake Whittaker Road.. Come at 11 a.m. or so and join in for brunch or breakfast or just have a coffee, tea or whatever is your morning pleasure. We will meet in the room across from the main restaurant and the meeting will be held there as well, and is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. You should all be aware by now that this is the only time that Club bylaws can be changed. So – if you have suggestions for other classes, an order change in the class list or just have a beef (or a compliment) to deliver, this is your chance to do it.
At the Awards Night, many positions were filled, but we are still needing a few Directors, including a Newsletter Editor. Looking forward to seeing a bunch of fresh new (and old) faces. The membership form is on our website www.rustygaits.ca and will be changed in time for the meeting. Membership cards will be available.
PLEASE NOTE that there are places for your land address as well as e-mail address. Fill them out correctly with the postal code and so forth. If you have an e-mail address, please include it, as it makes for a more efficient mailing of newsletters. Possibly a sur-charge for those not using an e-mail address and I suspect some don’t use theirs for a number of reasons, but stamps are now $.64 each + the cost of an envelope, photocopying,and stuffing – a fair bit of extra work that I really don’t presently need. Maybe a requirement that if you don’t use an e-addy, then supply the Editor with some self stamped & addressed envelopes. Some mental fodder to think about!
TRADER DAYS ~ Saturday, February 19 at the Eden & Area Community Centre, Eden Line and a bit west of Hwy. 19. Doors open at 10 a.m. for bargain hunters and those needing a social experience. Horsey garage sale, household items and baked goods; lunch counter available. Extra help is not usually turned down, either!

A small local version of the late and much lamented Quarterama. See ya soon on the 16th, then the 19th!. Hopefully both days.
